Passengers arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Saturday, 14 January 2012 were greeted with a flash mob as they made their way out of the Arrival Hall on Level 3. Much to the delight of unsuspecting onlookers, plus the odd stare in disbelief, visitors at KLIA witnessed some 100 singers and dancers break into spontaneous entertainment as part of Malaysia Airlines’ special flash mob event held to welcome the New Year with a bang.

Themed ‘Missing You’, the flash mob at the Arrival Hall lasting 10 minutes featured a fun medley of eight popular hit songs in various languages.

The event kick-started with Malaysia Airlines’ theme song “We fly” followed by Janet Jackson’s racy track ‘Miss You Much’ to set the tone for the flash mob in which a young man with a guitar in hand walked up to his girlfriend and suddenly broke into a song and dance. This was immediately followed in another corner of the Hall by a supposedly heart-broken young man belting out Rahim Maarof’s hit ‘Istana Menanti’ backed by a group singing acapella echoing his emotion. Soon after, the melodious sounds of popular Hindi tune ‘Aankhein Khuli’ from the movie Mohabbatein filled the air.

‘My Boyfriend’s Back’ showcased a group of guys returning from holiday only to be greeted by an enthusiastic group of girlfriends. Next was Richie Ren’s version of ‘Lang Hua Yi Duo Duo’ sung by a group of Chinese tourist lads, complete with group leader waving a flag, on their way out of the Arrival Hall door. Saving the best for last, the flash mob continued with hits ‘Rindu’, ‘Balik Kampung’ and ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered,’ featuring Malaysia Airlines cabin crew in full uniform.

The ‘Missing You’ flash mob finale was a 200-strong group performance of ‘Akan Datang’ which had the audience clapping and cheering on the performers.

Flash mob is a new trend worldwide involving a sizeable group of people who, out-of-the-blue, break into a dance act at a public place, for just a brief time, and disperse into the crowd as soon as it ends.

Malaysia Airlines’ flash mob was put together with the talents from Kit Kat Klub a subsidiary of Enfiniti Vision Media, Malaysia Airlines staff & family, students from Unisel and renowned Malaysian professional dance choreographer Pat Ibrahim of Puteri Gunung Ledang, P. Ramlee and The Secret Life of Nora musicals fame

Departed Rome in the morning and stopped by Firenze. Firenze was beautiful! Post on Firenze will have to wait. Venice now. Instead of  taking train or flight, we drove all the way from Rome. Nak experience road trippin in Italy (hohoh)…  and we were going to Austria and Germany after Venice. The route was scenic!

Parked our rented car at the ferry terminal, and took the water taxi. We arrived in Venice Piazza San Marco at 7-ish PM.

Stayed at a beautiful quaint hotel near Piazza Saint Marco- Hotel San Gallo. The Hotel was only 50meters away from the piazza. These were the path we took to go to our hotel.

Quad-room for us. With extra beds. After checked-in, we went out for dinner.

We’re in Rome!

holiday memang la seronok kan. but planning it.. gosh stressssss!!! sakit kepala macam stress ape jer!  i’m a very detail person.. semua bende mesti nak clear cut, everything must be considered before making a decision- location+budget+comfort+timing+weather+risk+the attractions. i want to see all options i have. so, sakit la kepala. tourism is a serious and stressful industry! hahaha. but it is worth it kan.

Work wise since the new year- has been hectic. tak cukup tangan… banyak bende kene buat…. which is good. i need to improve my time management, my delegation skill and i need to work faster!

o yeah.. happy monday y’all.

pernah borrow satu jurnal ni… journal malaysian climber naik gunung K2. that jurnal actually initiate my interest to travel to nepal. anyways…. so this habit terbawa-bawa sampai sekarang… except that i dont read encyclopedia dah la. instead, tengok travel channel.. tgk youtube, tgk tripadvisor. so bila start bercerita pasal holiday and travel, memang i could go on and on and on tak berenti renti. sbb semua tempat pun nak tengok…

Caterer, mekap and all, semua my mother in law pilih. I love the make-up!

In Kuching, pukul 10am dah kene start standby. So I had to start mekap semua at 7AM u know! The night before ada family dinner and dancing2 karaoke sume until 2AM. goodness.. my eyes was so bengkak the next morning.

this time I brought gambar sample to the makeup artist.  I’ve learn my lesson when KL makeup gone disaster. kureng suke the makeup masa at KL.. memang that time I wanted natural makeup.. tp natural sangat la pulak… like mekap pergi kerja everyday. hahah. so boleh la. anyways, yang at kuching, I brought gambar sample.. and the gambar is bridal photo terus. i said.. “nak mekap macam ni.. bagi nampak untuk bridal makeup.”

Bride & Groom Attire, Pelamin & deco: Mass Kasim Gallery. i wanted baju macam grace kelly (minus the skirt kembang)… tp my mom paling banyak contribute for my baju… so… i should not complaint right? satu baju boleh beli beg channel jumbo and satu prada. huwaaa nanges over kan. anyway, I love my groom punye baju!exactly like i wanted. i said nak baju melayu songket cekak musang, tapi tak mau yang jenis ada jacket. love it!

Wedding Cake: Kak Nina Cybercake. I wanted cake with buttercream icing plus the cake deco and flowers pun I wanted yang buttercream… punye la susah nak jumpa, cus nowadayas most wedding cake guna fondant. merata-rata mencari. fondant memang cantik and kemas.. tapi i dont like the taste.. heheh.. mengade kan. I placed my oder one week before the reception. luckily Kak Nina accepted it. fuh! I chose darck choc moist for 1st & 3rd tier ( cus ramai org suka choc flavour). 2nd tier I chose English Vanilla Moist (cus I love vanilla). Kak Nina uses Italian buttercream. sedap!!
